Calumet Light Guard

Biography - Edward Ryan

Persons, , Founder of the First National Bank of Calumet. One of the founders of the Peninsula Electric Light & Power Company of Houghton. Elected sheriff of Houghton County in 1860. Organized the Lake Superior Native Copper Works and the Hancock Copper Mining Company. Was one of the first men to promote iron mining interests on the Gogebic.
