The parcel has 870 feet of frontage on Highway M-26 and 216 feet on Green Acres Road. An existing auto dealer occupies 62,500 square feet at the corner of the intersection. A.J. Scott

Persons, Fire Department, Officials and Employees, Hon. A.J. Scott- Energetic, clear-sighted, and keenly alive to the questions of the day, [he] has been prominently identified with the history of Houghton county for upwards of forty-five years [since 1911], during which time he has contributed very largely toward the progress and prosperity of the now thriving city of Hancock. He has been among the foremost in the inauguration of beneficial enterprises, and as an organizer, practically, of the first fire company in Houghton countybecame, in pioneer days, a public benefactor. He is active and popular in social and business circles, and has served most effeciently as chief of the fire department the greater part of the time since its organization... Locating in the Upper Peninsula early in 1866, Mr. Scott was first employed in a saw mill in Houghton county, afterwards being clerk in [a] drug store.
