Description: The Redridge Log Dam that impounds the water of the Salmon Trout River was built in 1891-92 by the Atlantic Mining Co. to supply its mill (wash) with water for processing copper. In 1901-02 the Baltic Mining Co. built a new large steel dam just 75 ft. north of the log dam and this steel dam supplied water for both the Baltic and Atlantic mills until their closing - the Atlantic in 1912 and the Baltic in 1922.
