Description: A shipment of 500 pounds of official Copper Country snow is sent on its way to the students of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos as part of the Michigan Tech Winter Carnival. The southerners look forward to its arrival each year for an all-out snowball fight in the Texas sun. Providing the official sendoff are, from left, James Nahrgang, representing the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity, Winter Carnival sponsor; Nathan E. Ruonavaara, North Central Airlines station manager; Capt. Dan Pruss; Miss Jan Benest, stewardess; First Officer Dix Anderson, and Agent Fred Lassila. The snowball fight in Texas is scheduled for late this afternoon. [Boxes of "Frigid Fairy Tales" snowballs are loaded on the plane.]
