Description: This two-wheel cart was a popular conveyance in earlier days of Shelden Ave. Now the prized possession of Dick Richards, a village employee, the cart was brought into service last week for the first time in a dozen years. Houghton people this morning at 11 oclock when the photo was taken, recalled that Peepsock was the nickname of the man who controlled the vehicle for many a year in days long past. In those days the consistently prospective contents were much different that what is charged into the can today. Nowadays its mostly wrapper from candy, gum and what not. Dick is proud of his two-wheel cart. It saves him time and makes it unnecessary for him to carry the garbage distances. The conveyance is nicely painted and Dick believes it is a colorful addition to the street department. [Mr. Richards takes a "five" with his cart near the Lode Theatre.]
