Passenger steamer Isle Royale, built in 1879 at Maine City as barge Agnes. Later a steamer, renamed Isle Royale April 14, 1884 of Duluth. July 25, 1885, sprung a leak and sank 8 miles west of Washington Harbor enroute from Port Arthur to Duluth. Many trips to Isle Royale. Note: Moose horn on pilot house. [A man stands on the upper deck of the ship while at dock.]
