Engines, , Two Electric Hoists built by the Lake Shore Engine Works, Marquette, Michigan. Photo shows two single drum electric hoists with 36" x 36" drums with post brakes hand operated. The gearing on these hoists are double reduction, casting made from Lake Superior Charcoal Iron. One hoist was shipped to the Buffalo Iron Mining Company, the other to the Marting Ore Company. This car is 6'3" long 4'8" overall in width and 26" from rail to top of step, track gauge 36". A 4" plug cock is attached to bottom for flushing.
