"It was the best stove in the store," Mrs. Pietila said. The stove has been a good baker, but while mom has been handicapped, pop, now 82, a former cattle dealer, has been the cook. "I even make a pie," he says. "Ive had many buyers for the stove, but I dont have the desire to sell it" Mrs. Pietila, now 77 said. The cast iron and nickle stove, has a water reservoir on the right. Through the years, only one grate has had to be replaced. [Mrs. Pietila stands next to the stove which appears to have a compartment for everything.]

Buildings - Post Office - Hancock

Buildings, Public Buildings, Persons, Transportation, Automotive The Hancock Promotion Committee has done some efficient decorating work in the city within the past week with the result that the town's post office rates as one of the few such edifices decorated in the nation. Ordinarily, post offices are not adorned during the Yule period because if the country were to decorate each building it owns a tremendously high expenditure figure would be reached. This photo was snapped Monday with no alterations of the scene being effected on account of the picture. Even the dent in the car is preserved.
