Bishop Frederic Baraga

Persons, , Most Rev. Frederic Baraga, First Bishop of Marquette. For thirty-seven years he zealously labored as a missionary priest and bishop among the Indians and early white settlers in the Upper Great Lakes country. He died at Marquette on January 19, 1868.
