Wright, a former sheriff of Keweenaw County and proprietor of the Phoenix House. In 1846 he was appointed Ordinance Sergeant and stationed at Fort Wilkins, Copper Harbor in charge of the fort and government property. He married Mary A. Sackett in November of 1840.
