Nothing so lends activity to a scene as puffing smoke. here the encompassing hook of an Huss Ontonagon Co. steam crane unloads logs for future processing in the semi-chemical plant which will be in operation in 1957. The logs are gradually taking their places in huge piles the like of which have not decorated the Ontonagon landscape for more than two years. [The crane is positioned in the middle of a pile of logs.]
