Businesses - Hermann Hardware |
Buildings, Commercial Buildings, Stores, Retail, Persons, |
Almost a century of serving the hardware trade is represented by the principals in the recent change of ownership of the Hermann Hardware Store in Laurium. Martin Hermann, right, who with Mike Richetta, center, operated the business for 41 years, hands new owner Cliff Jurmu the scoop to the store's antique scale, which Hermann says must be a century old itself and is the only one like it in service in a hardware store in Michigan. Jurmu is going into business for himself after 15 years of store management experience. [The three men are shown near the scale. Cans of paint and other items are on the shelves.]
