These two Dial-a-Ride buses still are in Houghton. They are on the grounds of the Houghton City Garage in South Houghton. They remain as evidence of what the public had in the way of social transit until some months back. Now they aren't running. It is true, nevertheless, that other communities are endeavoring to get such transit, even Ontonagon. Whether you believe the buses are advantageous depends upon your personal views. There are those who say that the rates charged were overly low and that if the fee were larger they might have paid off. This, perhaps, is true. After all, what does a quarter bring today? Not even a cup of coffee in some places. [Two idle buses are shown.]
