Title: Cities and Towns - Houghton
Photographer: Ray Peterson of Gazette
Subject Headings: Persons, Buildings, Human Settlements - Cities and Towns
Condition: Good
Description: Shelden Avenue, Houghton is once again in gay holiday trim. The work of decorating the main thoroughfare for the Christmas shopping season was completed late last week in wet weather and presented this picture when the sun appeared Monday. The holiday season will be enhanced when the colorful lights on these decorations will glow for the first time. The camera points eastward from near Bridge Street. [A crowded downtown area is shown. Several businesses are visible such as Togo's, a Mobile gas station, Wylie Loans and the Carpet Mart. Just the dome of the Douglass House can be seen.]
