• This is a photograph taken adjacent to the entrance to the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge, looking towards the north or northwest. West Bluff (i.e., Brockway Mountain Drive) is clearly visible in the distance. The wall visible at the top of Brockway Mountain Drive is what at the time was called Hartman's View" and was named after the then Chairman of the Keweenaw County Road Commision. The date of the photograph would be 1934 or after. The wire rope guard rails visible in the foreground have since been replaced with continuous galvanized steel rails.
