Description: These are some of the homes in Ripley not far from the old Burt Boiler Shop. The rock piles above the house tops show where prospectors endeavored to locate the Isle Royale veins on the north side of the lake. These diggings are immediately east of the Ripley Falls and are quite shallow. Even an adit was dug. It still exists although greatly filled with debris. [Good photo of some of the dwellings in Ripley.]
