Description: The 200 acre stand of white pine forest, including the largest known tree of its kind in the State of Michigan , will be purchased this month by the Michigan Nature Association. The huge tree included in the area is 135 feet high and 23 1/2 feet in circumference. It is thought to be between 600 and 800 years old. [Three people look like miniatures of themselves next to the large pine.]
