Description: Bill Yates stands beside the big capstan he pulled up west of the Michigan Tech power plant in Houghton. He indicates it could have belonged to a lumber hooker or hooker barge. But he only is assured that the passenger boat, Morgan, a Carroll ownership, and the tug Matham sank in the vicinity. Here the capstan rests near the Naval Reserve premises in Hancock.
