Description: Members of the Blue Key Fraternity on the Michigan Tech campus. Blue Key, a national honorary service fraternity, allows only thirty-five members in its chapters. These students must be juniors or seniors and in the upper one-half of their class before they can be nominated and voted into membership. Winter Carnival at the Michigan Tech campus is the most difficult task undertaken by any of the 100 Blue Key chapters in the United States. Tech's chapter includes eight faculty members. Winter Carnival was started in 1922 as a one-day affair. Blue Key has taken it a long way since that day thirty-seven years ago. [Members of the fraternity pose for a group photo.]
