The construction of the spillway or overflow or launder as they were called is shown here as it progresses to completion. The photographer was standing where the "gates" were later constructed which controlled the flow of water from the steel dam that had impounded water from the Salmon Trout River. This construction took place in 1901-02 and was completed at same time as that of the dam and the Baltic Mill in 1902. [Image of the construction of the spillway.
