"Italian Hall Disaster in Pictures" Where 74 people lost their lives in the Christmas Eve Celebration at Calumet, Mich., Dec. 24, 1913, in the panic of false cry of "fire" during big strike in Copper Country. The biggest catastrophe of its nature in the history of Michigan. [#11 in a series of 11 photographs depicting the aftermath of the tragedy. The town hall used as a temporary morgue and where the inquest was held.]
