The womens volleyball team closed out its 1988 season with a 13 to 24 overall record as well as a 6 to 10 league mark in GLIAC play. The huskies started the season strong, compiling a 5 to 2 conference record before hitting a slump in the second half of the season due to inexperience and injuries. The spikers had to overcome several injuries to key players that hampered their potentially bright season. Fifth year coach Mary Kaminski held the team together as two starters sat out the season. Despite their record, the youthful team improved their play, finishing with a good outlook for the next year. [From page in the 1989 Keweenawan].
