Later a steamer, renamed Isle Royale April 14, 1884 of Duluth. July 25, 1885, sprung a leak and sank 8 miles west of Washington Harbor enroute from Port Arthur to Duluth. Many trips to Isle Royale. Note: Moose horn on pilot house. [A man stands on the upper deck of the ship while at dock.]

Wreckage strewn all over south shore of Lake Supeiror, only 6 years old. Wooden passenger and frieght side-wheeler built in 1871 by Melanehthan Simpson at Port Robinson for Lake Superior Navigation Company (Northern R. R.) Named for Fred Cumberland, Gen. Manager of R. R.
