The unit at left provided the power and guidance for the wheels, which were scaled to one-fourth size. Some of the tires in the experiments have a tread four feet wide.

Biography - John R. Clark

Was a founder of the Association of Electrical Engineering Department Heads which led to the creation of NEEDHA. He retired from MTU in 1984 and was named Professor Emeritus the same year.
